GLX Application Framework > GLX Application Framework > Adding a ReadMe File

Adding a ReadMe File

The lesson will show you how to include a ReadMe file in your application distribution.

Open the Standalone Resources Tab

Click on the Add File button to add a file to your distribution.

Select File

Select the file you would like to add to the distribution (1) and click Open (2).

Specify Relative Output Folder

I am going to place the ReadMe.rtf file in the same directory as the application so I will leave this field empty.

Answer Questions

Now you need to answer a series of questions. Click Yes if you want to include the file in OS X distributions.

Then click Yes to include the file in Windows distributions.

If you want to include the file when deploying a standlone then click Yes.

If you want to include the file when deploying an auto update click Yes.

Result

The ReadMe.rtf file has now been added and will be included when you deploy standalones or auto updates on OS X and Windows.

I think it would be useful to say that if the readMe.rtf file was to be included in the OS X bundle instead, the next lesson will show how that is done.
